Prayer for Life

Let me learn through my youth
My flower blossoms and colours
Let the briar not entangle me
And leave me trapped

The seed was well sown and tendered
Give me the strength and health to ripen
Like the fruit in the sun
Even in all weathers

Allow my buds to spread open
My petals to soak up the wisdom
My leaves to draw on the life
Which You gave me

Remove the dryness from the soil
Let my roots spread and touch others
Share that which I possess
Safe in Your nature
